Percussionist leader of the Cirque du Soleil before Covid, he is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer of great talent.

Insolita is a musical universe where voices and percussions intertwine to pay homage to the energy of the four elements of nature: water, fire, air and earth. Through its fusion of arts, styles and cultures, this world music album makes travel and transport in a timeless state of mind. Robert Dethier created Insolita inspired by the first nations of America as a backdrop. By superimposing rhythms and songs from 5 continents, he creates this new sound, the sound Insolita!

He also became a producer of “Him the Artist”, offering us a vibrant message on our majestic river whose coastal towns are inhabited by 80% of the population of Quebec. From his recent album “Insolita” on the new Hello USB Digipak which will be released in record stores before summer 2024, the song “Le St-Laurent” has accumulated unparalleled success with electrifying and more acoustic versions.
